Over the past 12 months since a return to post lock-down ‘normality, our Valuation team has been instructed by a number of lenders to value student development and investments. These valuations have enabled the raising of finance for development, acquisition or for re-mortgaging purposes.
In 2022, we have valued student properties in Coventry, Nottingham, Worcester and Derby with lot values up to £5 million.
There has been good demand from occupiers and a swift response from developers to create fully self-contained studio rooms which can command increasingly higher rents. This has led to a return of confidence to the sector.
